Timber!

A post or two ago I mentioned that if you're going to put up a tower make sure it's not an accident waiting to happen..... here's why...

If I was a conspiracy theorist ....

If I was a conspiracy theorist.... I'd be totally convinced that Hyrdo's 'Smart Meter" Technology was developed by Telco's to help ensure that Fixed Wireless Providers go insane.

You want us to climb that ?

We climb towers everyday. We have tower from 30' to over 400' that we maintain.  We regularly climb 3 story homes. 40' off the ground is an easy day.  To some people I guess it looks like we're fearless... for us it means that we're careful and don't take any unneeded risks.

So, if you were asked to climb a "TV tower" (remember the old round legged towers that we all had back in the 70's?) that stood 40' tall, and was only held in place by being in the ground about 2' without a concrete base, or any form of braces.  And the same tower had a number of busted welds on the crossbars that are there to make it stand up, And the top section looked like it had been run through a pretzel maker; would you do it ?

By WCB rules my techs have every right to refuse such a job... I looked at it and I would have too.  If you're going to put up a tower for highspeed please keep in mind that if there's no way in H*ll you'd ever climb it then it's unlikely that a trained professional will either.
